Why a Jellyfish?

Bungling housewife

Welcome dear readers to my humble blog. You can call me N.Β and my simple advice to you is: never trust a jellyfish. They are fascinating creatures to be sure, but you never know where you are with a Jellyfish. One minute you’re working under the hypothesis that all living things are born and eventually die, the next your whole world view is challenged when you find out some types of Jellyfish are basically immortal or that they age backwards. And just to add insult to injury, the smallest known jellyfish is also apparently the deadliest creature on Earth.

So yes, jellyfish are slippery little devils (unless they are yards long, in which case they are slippery big devils), and though this blog isn’t about jellyfish, it is, like them, random, sometimes amusing, sometimes confusing but always full of surprises. So read on and follow along on the adventures of one bungling housewife through marriage, motherhood, life and everything in between.

    1. Thanks maybemama! I’ve been nominated before yes, but truth be told I’m too lazy to actually write the post! I think I should sit my ass down and do it now :p will definitely check out your blog soon! x

  3. I am new here to WP so I’m stalking the comment sections of blogs I already follow to find new blogs to follow… that’s why I’m here!

The way I get through my day is by laughing so I’m glad to have found a funny mama blog!!

      1. Always happy to spread the Pratchett love πŸ™‚ There are too many good ones to suggest just one! Try ‘the Wee Free Men’ or ‘Thud’. They are both from slightly different series within the larger Pratchett universe πŸ™‚ Let me know what you think!

  4. Hi,
I got stung by a jellyfish so learnt not to trust them then, tricky creatures!

I am nominating you for a challenge! It is a Five Photo Five Story challenge , Donna from Homemade Naturally invited me to join in β€œFive Photo’s Five Stories” and today is my second day of this challenge.

Five Photos, Five Stories, like most challenges has a loose set of guidelines:

    1. Post a photo each day for five consecutive days.

    2. Attach a story to the photo. It can be fiction or non-fiction, a poem or simply a short paragraph – it is entirely up to you.

    3. At the end of each day, nominate one other blogger to take part.

    Have fun!

  5. Such a cool blog name! Have you ever licked a jellyfish? They taste like cucumbers.

Why do I know this? I overheard a kid at the beach telling his friend this and so I challenged him on it. He dared me to try it, and like the mature adult I am I did. He was totally right.
