Miffed. Annoyed. Frustrated. Fuming. Not happy.

Just some of the words that come to mind when trying to describe how I’m feeling right now, though ‘pissed off’ is probably the best word to use.

Why you ask?

Simple: I had to try really really hard today to NOT strangle my daughter’s hairdresser.

Let’s backtrack a little.

Lilly’s preschool starts tomorrow and the perfectionist in me thought it’d be a good idea to get her hair trimmed at the hair dressers instead of doing it myself (like I always do) because I didn’t want to risk messing it up.

I’m sure you can see where this is going.

Yup, the hair dresser managed to mess up Lilly’s hair. The silly woman wasn’t being careful and managed to take a chunk out of Lilly’s bangs, right in the middle of her forehead! I nearly screamed out loud when it happened, but there was nothing I could do; the damage was done.

So yes, I think it’s safe to say that I’m a tad miffed at the moment, and trying really hard not to go back to the hair dressers to murder that dolt of a woman.

On the bright side, at least Lilly is too young to care about a bad haircut and is as happy as ever, so there’s that.

  1. Oh, I can relate to that, getting a horrible haircut myself. Went in for a trim/shape up, and when I got out my long hair was about a couple of inches all over. I went immediately and bought a wig. Glad your little one isn’t too concerned about it. Best wishes for her having a wonderful school year. πŸ™‚

  2. For years and years I would take my daughters to get their hair cut a day or two before picture day πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ It drove their mom insane! I didn’t even think about that again till I read this…and picture day is Wednesday lol!

  3. Ick, bangs. I used to have bangs, and they’re the worst to maintain. And *so* easy to mess up. It’s why I don’t have bangs anymore. In the long run though, a bit of lost hair is a minor inconvenience. And like you said, she doesn’t really mind at all. Take a deep breath and smile at your healthy and happy daughter. In five years, hell, maybe even a year, you won’t even remember today (unless you read this blog post).

    1. Bangs are definitely too easy to mess up, but they look so adorable on little kids! It’ll grow out soon enough I’m sure, but it’s still annoying that it happened πŸ˜‚

  4. My husband wanted the girls to get bangs, ’cause it’s just so *freaking* cute. But, being the kid who would ALWAYS have her bangs messed up before her birthday I had to interfere!!! ahahahaha

note to self: always cut their hair myself.

    got it.

Also, word on the street is hair grows back so… (please don’t shoot me!)
