A Tantrum a Day, Keeps the Shopping Away

I love shopping, I really do. I mean, who doesn’t? What I don’t love all that much is shopping with a tantrum-throwing, bored and wanting to play, toddler in tow. Especially one who is having one of those days where she just does not want to sit in her stroller. Do you know how hard it is to pick out a nice pair of winter boots while simultaneously trying to run after a 2 year old who thinks running out the store door every time someone opens it is a fun game? Let’s just say it’s not exactly easy to hobble after said child with one foot encased in a sensible boot while the other is precariously perched atop a 5 inch sparkly gold stiletto (because you have to try on pretty heels when you go shoe shopping, it’s practically sacrilege not to).

So yes, I went shopping yesterday for my upcoming trip to Pakistan, I had a long list of things I needed and things to do, but I barely made a dent in those lists thanks to all the time I spent trying to make sure Lilly was still standing/sitting/throwing a tantrum on the floor next to me and not running out the door in search of a play area.

Next time, I need a better game plan.

    1. Hahaha! I don’t bother trying stuff on anymore because who has time for that with a toddler around? But that of course means I end up making a second trip to return stuff that didn’t fit or I didn’t like πŸ˜–

    1. Lol! I hope I never get to the point where retail therapy is no longer therapeutic 😝 Lilly is trying her hardest to try and achieve that though.. Lol
