Cinderella’s Glass Slipper

I may not be a shopaholic persay, but I am definitely a shoe-aholic. Show me a cute pair of shoes and I will show you a woman putting herself through hell trying to resist buying the said pair of shoes. What I'm saying is, I love shoes.

I may not buy every pair I find pretty (there's a budget to be considered after all) but I sure as heck want to! My restraint is apparently going to be put to the test though because rumor has it that the shoe of every little girls princess fantasies is hitting the market soon. What shoe, you ask? One of the most famous pieces of footwear in history of course: Cinderella's glass slipper!

Yes, it's true, shoe designers like Jimmy Choo and Nickholas Kirkwood are reimagining the famous glass slipper for the new Cinderalla movie that's coming out soon. There's nothing amazing about that in and of itself, designers design stuff for movies all the time. The amazing thing is that the shoes will actually be in actual stores this summer! I think the little girl in me that used to prance around the house in mommy's driving gloves pretending to be a princess just squealed in glee. The adult in me of course knows that those shoes will probably cost more than I spend on clothes and shoes in an entire year (and might not actually even be as great as they sound in theory), but a girl can dream right?

      1. Hahaha! Thank you šŸ™‚ My poor husband doesn’t realise what’s he’s in for once Lilly is old enough to demand princess dresses and tea parties šŸ˜ I was a pain my brothers backside insisting on having tea parties with my Barbies and his teenage mutant ninja turtle action figures! šŸ˜

  1. Have you seen the movie Into the Woods? In that the slipper was gold. But it was glass in the movie Ever After, and pretty nice too. In some stories (it’s a very popular fairy tale) it was fur. I did some research of the Cinderella tale when I was younger… for a paper.
