Love It or Could Do Without It?

So do you absolutely love this ad or are you ambivalent? Do you think it tackles an important issue well or not so much?

    1. I love it too 🙂 It creates caricatures sure, but generally accurate ones for a 1 minute advertisement! There’s way too many philosophies on parenting and motherhood out there, and there’s nothing wrong in that, but attacking each other for personal beliefs is wrong.

  1. I think it’s an interesting ad. Clearly there was some attempt and overall, for the masses, it works. On the other hand, there’s also a perpetuation of different stereotypes and behaviors that I’m not sure are all that spot on. It’s quite possible there could be good conversation around this issue, but it seems to have fallen a bit as so often happens today.

I agree with what you say about creating stereotypes, but I think in the amount of time given them (a little under 2 minutes I think?) they did a pretty good job of getting their point across and touching on some of the more vicious arguments about differing parenting styles that tend to erupt online as well as offline. 😁

      1. I don’t disagree. It is an incredibly short timeframe, so it could be a jumping off point.

        I also think it’s interesting that the commercial was created by a formula/pharmaceutical company. But that’s an entirely different subject. The fact that it’s out there is something to be highlighted. 🙂
