There are many things that I am thankful for from the big things, like my family and health, to the smallest, like the baby napping through an ENTIRE episode of Criminal Minds and allowing me to actually watch tv without the distraction of snotty noses or dirty diapers.
Today however was just one of those days when nothing seems to be going well and you feel like a lab rat in an experiment of how-much-can-she-take-before-snapping-and-setting-the-laundry-on-fire.
So yes, it’s probably a good day to go over what I am thankful for to avoid any fire related ‘accidents’. There’s enough to deal with in life without having to explain to your husband why the mysterious laundry fire only happened to destroy his clothes while leaving yours in a neat pile on the other side of the room. So without further ado, here are three things that I was thankful for today:
As a meal, cereal is definitely the most underrated of foods. I mean what other edible treat is filling, healthy, easy to put together and quick as well? It’s definitely a lot easier to eat than eggs or pancakes (not to mention easier to make), especially when trying to multitask too early in the mornings.
2) Strong Tea
Never say no to a cup of really strong tea, trust me on that one.
Or more accurately, friends who send you pictures of goats because when you’re having a bad day, there is nothing better than a random picture of a goat to make you laugh. Yes, we are a strange bunch, please don’t judge us.
